Hemodialysis Centre
at Gulab Devi Hospital
Dr. Shakoh, Founder President of the Hope Kidney Foundation, pioneered the development of the first-ever Hemodialysis Centre at Gulab Devi Hospital over four years ago. The facility is equipped with eight Hemodialysis machines, an RO Water Treatment Plant, an Ultrasound machine, an electronic ECG machine, and a Cardiac Monitor. Dr. Shakoh continues to manage the centre’s technical expenses and disposables, ensuring that vital care is provided to those in need. These efforts are sustained through personal resources from Dr. Shakoh’s family and close friends, without support from the public or government.
Philanthropy Through the Hope Uplift Foundation
Mrs. Lubna Shakoh, Founder President of the Hope Uplift Foundation and Director/Shareholder of RPL, has dedicated over 15 years to philanthropic efforts, particularly in supporting workers. The foundation’s initiatives include:
– Monthly Essentials: Providing workers with monthly flour bags at half the price for several years.
– Utility Assistance: Paying home utility bills for those with genuine needs.
– Clothing Donations: Offering free clothes from time to time.
– Marriage Assistance: Helping with marriages of workers’ sisters or daughters.
– Home Improvements: Supporting civil work, including ceiling and wall repairs.
– Loan Payoff: Assisting genuinely trapped employees by paying off their loans.
– Transportation Support: Distributing cycles and helping workers buy motorbikes.
– Educational Support: Paying education fees for employees’ children and siblings.
– Water Access: Installing multiple water pumps at workers’ homes.
